Make the next question
testable.
The near-term program is organized around evidence gates, not promises of a launch date.
1. Define the service precisely
Separate a genome bank, a recorded life archive, a selected-sequence culture and a method of disposition. Define what is delivered, what is maintained and what is not being claimed.
Completion measure: a written specification and claims register for every proposed program, with supporting evidence and unresolved assumptions.
2. Build the Archive foundation
Evaluate sequencing and biobanking partners, define specimen and data quality requirements, design consent and family access, and test export and recovery of the original records.
Completion measure: a documented sample-to-archive chain of custody and a successful independent recovery exercise.
3. Commission an independent Culture feasibility assessment
Qualified specialists should assess the proposed organism, process boundaries, material balance, viability, genetic stability, containment and maintenance. Establish explicit stop conditions and alternative designs.
Completion measure: an independently reviewed feasibility report that distinguishes demonstrated components from unsupported assumptions. No whole-body-conversion promise before evidence.
4. Establish legal and financial foundations
Complete entity and trademark review, select licensed service partners and qualified counsel, determine the authorization pathway, and design the trust with a corporate trustee. Model obligations and failures separately from company revenue.
Completion measure: documented jurisdiction-specific authority, reviewed contracts and refund provisions, and a funding model that separates trust assets from company income.
5. Evaluate the Grove and Reef separately
Define materials and locations. Engage appropriate environmental specialists. Compare ecological outcomes against baselines and obtain the specific permissions needed for disposition and placement.
Completion measure: a site-specific feasibility and monitoring plan, with a clear authorization decision before any installation or release.
6. Make the library a durable research resource
Expand the catalog through reference and citation tracking, publish original explanatory guides, add dataset accession links, and invite qualified review through a future editorial process. Every update should retain provenance and expose meaningful corrections.
Completion measure: every new record has a source, type, publication date when known, check date, relevance note and limitation; every product claim links to a reviewed evidence assessment.
These are proposed project gates, not completed work or a representation that research approvals or partnerships exist.
